Another Botched Surgery Story

What's it with the Canadia stories today?

Woman sues Antigonish hospital, doctors over sponge found in her abdomen

A Guysborough County woman is suing St. Martha’s Regional Hospital in Antigonish and two doctors after a surgical sponge the size of a kitchen towel was left in her belly....By the time doctors figured out what was wrong, Teri-Lynn Tibbo said her abdomen had been reopened nine times to drain fluid.

In fairness, that story isn't as bad as this one...

Moroccan surgeons have relieved a 75-year-old woman of what she thought was a long-standing tumour but turned out to be the remains of a 46-year-old foetus, Moroccan newspapers said on Thursday.
