Interesting Article On Plight Of Gypsies In India

A large number of people in the state are not able to avail the fundamental right to vote. The reason: their names do not exist in the voters’ lists. They are gypsies belonging to the Nat community.

Reminds me of when I first moved to Spain, and people would always tell me how much prejudice and discrimination in the States. But when I'd ask them about the gypsy situation, I would invariably get the response. "That's different. The gypsies like to live that way."
