Prostitition Ring Forcing Abortions Via Hits To Stomach

That's one of the horrible details of an article on illegal immigration in Spain published in the Sunday edition of the Spanish daily ABC. According to the article, young girls, some of them as young as 15, are promised work in Spain, however, once they arrive here the are forced into prostitution. The majority of the girls are from eastern Europe.

This past week, the police busted a ring consisting of 18 Rumanos that brought to Spain their fellow compatriots with the false hopes of making it rich, only to find once here that paradise doesn't exist. Forced into prostitution, the girls were brutally raped and beaten, and then "farmed" out to various brothels.

If that wasn't enough, when some of the girls became pregnant, they were subjected to beatings to provoke abortions.

The world truly can be a sick place sometimes...
